Today we are pleased to welcome Tom Eischen, Head of Strategy, Innovation and Acquisition at Encevo. He recently worked with MindForest on a change project within his company. Having played a key role during this project, he kindly accepted to share his point of view on our collaboration. Let's dive into this inspiring interview in which he shares his experience, the challenges faced and his candid opinion.

Can you briefly introduce your company? The issues and the context in which MindForest accompanies you?

Encevo is a major player in sustainable energy in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. Its mission is to ensure secure access and a competitive supply of energy. Encevo actively contributes to shaping the transition towards a sustainable energy sector.

We asked Mindforest to accompany us during a Team building. Especially for support functions at the level of a Holding, which fulfill tasks of different nature, it is very important to have a team that is well-rehearsed and that works effectively together.

 

What did you expect from collaborating with Change Management experts?

The expectations were that we would take a closer look, during the team building, at the role as well as the needs of each member of the team. In addition, we wanted to have a framework to lead a structured discussion on the context in which the team finds itself, including the way in which the members communicate and work together. The main objective was to arrive, after an in-depth analysis, at collectively developed improvement proposals, which could then be prioritized and concretely implemented within the team.

 

What expectations/actions have been met and what are in progress?

In principle, the expectations regarding the team building were met. Indeed, the objectives set beforehand have been achieved. After such a team building, it is of course a matter of identifying the most important conclusions and implementing them accordingly.

 

Can you tell us about a MindForest change support action and its results that particularly stood out to you?

We very much appreciated the organization, the course and also the competent realization of the team building. In particular, the working methods used, which seemed very unconventional at first for the whole team and for myself, but we were surprised very positively. It demonstrated that by using the right approaches, a lot can be achieved in a short time.

 

What unexpected area/element did the MindForest team add value to you?

As part of the Team building, it was possible to give positive impulses to the whole team in a very short time.

 

In a nutshell, what do you enjoy about working with the MindForest team?

The collaboration with Mindforest has been very positive. In particular, the approach of discussing the client's needs in detail before organizing the team building made it possible to organize the event successfully and in a targeted manner, with concrete and implementable results.
